In a thrilling final that was decided in extra time, the Whites beat Kashima Antlers (4-2). Benzema put Madrid ahead, but the Japanese side turned the match around with two goals from Shibasaki. Cristiano Ronaldo levelled from the penalty spot to send the game into extra time. The Portuguese forward was instrumental with two goals in extra time to clinch the Club World Cup for our team.   America in the semi-final The first game of the tournament, played in Japan, saw Real Madrid take on Club América of Mexico in the semi-final. Just like in the final, Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo were on the scoresheet.
